Actor Mateo Rubistein joins the cast of "El caballero de Olmedo", a
production by the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico, directed by Laila
Ripoll.
Following its premiere in Almagro, the play will take the stage at Teatro de la Comedia in Madrid for
the 2026/27 season.
Mateo Rubistein writes, directs, and stars in the short film "Devuélveme mi
chaqueta", winner of the MetaMADS award.
This recognition includes funding and support from MADS School for the development and
production of the short film.
Actor Mateo Rubistein is currently filming the third season of the hit series based on
the novels by Juan Gómez Jurado, Reina Roja.
Following the success of the previous installments, the production continues to expand its universe with
new twists and characters. Mateo joins this new and final season, "White King", which
brings the series to its conclusion.
Actor and creator Mateo Rubistein presents "Rubinstein Rubistein", a
satirical short film about the frequent confusion surrounding the spelling of his last name.
Written, directed, and performed by himself, the short turns this misunderstanding into a humorous piece
of self-parody featured at Notodofilmfest.

Mateo Rubistein will be playing Guillermo (son) in Los Pacientes del Doctor García, based on the
famous novel by Almudena Grandes. This show is coproduced by Netflix and
will be aired on RTVE.
Mateo Rubistein is Javier on "Ghosts", directed by Roberto Pérez Toledo, and he participates in
"Heridas", the new TV show for Atresmedia that will be released in
2022.
On the stage, he stars in "Rif (de piojos y gas mostaza)" the play directed by Laila Ripoll at
the National Drama Center of Spain. You can watch it at Valle-Inclán Theatre from December
10th until January 30th of 2022.
Mateo Rubistein plays the role of Marcos in "A Suicide Story", a boy who will do
anything in order to achieve his goals.
On his way, he will meet a very special policeman... and Nacho, another young man with his same
intentions but very different motivations.
To be released in 2022.
The play "Buried Lives" is coming back on tour by the end of the year and in the beginning of
2021. Buried Lives will be performed in Valencia, Seville, Vigo, Ourense, Ávila and Logroño, among
other Spanish cities.
Mateo Rubistein plays the role of Primitivo Florián in this breathtaking play about memory, love and
loss, written by Laila Ripoll, Pepe Viyuela, Mafalda Bellido, Alfonso Plou, Juanjo Millás and Juan
Mayorga.
Available from this month the medium-length film "El Hijo" for viewing on Filmin. Mateo
Rubistein plays a leading role in this story with Ignacio Montes, Pedro Casablanc and Fanny de
Castro.
"El Hijo" was recorded in Malaga under the direction of Venci Kostov, and tells the story of Pedro, a
young man whose life does not match the environment around him, nor with his family or friends.
"Buried Lives", a play in which Mateo Rubistein plays the role of Primitivo, is a candidate for the
XXIII edition of the Max Awards for Performing Arts.
It is competing in the category of Best Theatrical Authorship for the texts of Laila
Ripoll, Juanjo Millás, Pepe Viyuela, Juan Mayorga, Alfonso Plou and Mafalda Bellido.
"Barro", the latest play of The Youth Company set in World War I, will be performed in theaters
such as the Gayarre Theater, in Pamplona, and in cities like Seville, Soria or Malaga.
In "Barro", Mateo Rubistein plays a French soldier named Marcel, grandson of a general,
who will battle in Marne to save his comrades, while he is trying to maintain the honor of his family.
The inclusive scenic project "Desgana Nacional" begins, presented by Mateo Rubistein at the
prestigious Centro Dramático Nacional. The project will be developed at the
festival A Different Look, with the collaboration of Lucía Miranda and Angel Peralbá.
A group of 12 actors and actresses, with and without functional diversity, will investigate on
stage about the difficulties and opportunities faced by young people today and they will
reflect about new technologies, love, inclusion and diversity.
"The Foundation" returns to the Conde Duque Theater and "Barro" is premiered at Teatros del Canal,
both theatrical plays by The Youth Company in which participates Mateo
Rubistein.
"The Foundation", by Buero Vallejo, presents a group of young people who face a common destiny,
discovering that nothing is what it seems to be. "Barro" is the first part of the tetralogy "Map of the
ruins of Europe", a set of plays that will deal with the most important events of our continent.
"Barro" is set during World War I, and in it Mateo Rubistein plays a French soldier named
Marcel, grandson of a general.
"Four Hearts with Brake and Reverse", the most crazy and timeless work by Jardiel Poncela, will premiere
this summer at the Galileo Theater. Gabriel Olivares (Burundanga, Our Town, Gross
Indecency) is the director of the play, with Mateo Rubistein in his cast.
In this fun, hilarious, colorful and surreal story signed by Jardiel, two couples and a postman will
drink a potion to live forever... with all that this entails.
